Kvåle Power Plant is located about 20 minutes drive north from Sogndal in Sogn og Fjordane county.
The power plant is a “run-off river” consisting of 2 pcs Francis turbines, each generator with installed capacity of 2.75 MVA. There is installed pipeline along the river between the intake on the mountain and the power plant at the end of a large lake, close by Norway’s (and the world's) longest fjord, Sognefjorden (the sea).
